About Us
The Asian Institute of Management Policy Center (APC), formerly known as the AIM Washington SyCip Policy Forum, was established in 1996 as the research and intellectual resource arm of the Institute. Since then, in response to emerging trends and the demands of an increasingly globally-competitive world, the APC has broadened its vision and expanded its mission in pursuit of a more long-term contribution to the Asian region in general, and to the Philippines in particular, through research and policy studies. The Centers mission is to foster a public policy environment that emphasizes the primacy of private enterprises in meeting Asian societies needs for goods and services, and in contributing to progress and the building of a humane society.
Through a primarily action-based research agenda, the Center partners with various sectors in the crafting of public policy including policy reform on specific and identified issues, at the local, national and regional levels. On the basis of its mandate and capabilities, it aims to be the catalyst and point of convergence of all sectors of society, particularly in pursuit of competitiveness and development.
